GROWING PAINS

All of life’s circumstances have a divine purpose as God partners with our present situation to further prepare us for the future he has planned for us. See the determination of God who in timeless eternity forsook and slay His beloved Son, before the creation, before mankind’s fall from grace, before the need for a reconciling sacrifice, He tore out His own heart and hung it on a cross. This is an intentional God who supplied what justice would demand before the demand was birthed. This is a purposeful God who follows the council of His own immutable will... His will not ours. This is a passionate God who defined the word “Love”, setting the eternal sacrificial standard... the blood of His Beloved Son. This same God is at work in each of His children, “willing and doing of His good pleasure” as He faithfully completes that “good work” he has begun in us. He will not relent in His pursuit of our perfection, no matter how difficult The Way becomes. He is bringing to maturity our new nature, displacing the old with the new, bringing forth many brethren for Christ... the First-Born.  His schedule is paced by our willingness... our submission to Christ’s Lordship, and His effort that which overcomes the desires of our old nature.  God is making us into what he has predestined us to be, that we might step into the future He has designed for us to inhabit.
