God is our Prince of Peace... we
are not allowed to worry anymore. He is our provider so we need not be anxious
about our needs. Peace of mind is a very big deal, without it our body
self-destructs, robbing us of sleep and appetite while throwing a monkey-wrench
into the body’s physiology, inviting sickness and disease. With God there are
three kinds of peace: 1) PEACE WITH GOD is the peace of reconciliation. He is
our Redeemer... we are clothed in the righteousness of Jesus, giving us value
in the eyes of the Father. We no longer fear falling into the hands of an angry
God. 2) PEACE IN GOD is the peace of being in Christ... in the Beloved, for He
is our high tower... our refuge... our strength during the storms of life. He
is the invincible, all powerful Warrior King who loves to fight and laughs at
His enemies... laughs at our enemies. 3) PEACE OF GOD is the peace of God’s
very own nature; His supernatural peace released into our hearts... the peace
that passes our understanding... peace that is better than knowing why.
In a broader sense we have much
to be at peace about when we walk in lock-step with our Lord, laying hold of
all that God says of Himself through His scriptural titles: He is the Ancient
of Days, the Self-Existent Eternal One, the Almighty God, the Strong and Mighty
One, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, the Most High God of Hosts... The Holy One.
He is the Living God, the Everlasting Forever God, the Merciful, Faithful,
Jealous (Passionately Loving) God, The Mighty God who Sees All. And He is our
Eternal Creator... our Maker, our Sovereign Lord, our Master Jehovah, our
Provider, our Banner, our Healer, our Righteous, our Savior, our Sanctifier,
our Shepherd, our Father, our Rock of Refuge, the Great I Am, the Lord our God.
For all that life throws our way He is our Prince of Peace... our Amen, and for
that we should be eternally grateful.
